We use the latest sterilization and infection control systems to ensure the safety of our patients including a state-of-the-art water purification system that combines sterilization with distilled water. We are proud to note that our office exceeds OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization.
Dr. Joel D. Singer, DMD follows the extensive infection control recommendations outlined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). What’s more, we go above and beyond many of these requirements because of our commitment to protecting the health and safety of our patients, as well as that of our team.
We follow infection control and safety measures, such as:
- Providing eye protection for patients and team members
- Using disinfectant hand soap
- Wearing gloves and face masks
- Chemical disinfection of countertops and surfaces
- Sterilization of all equipment before every use
In addition, our dental team sterilizes all reusable equipment after each use, including handpieces. We use an autoclave – a device that kills bacteria and viruses by steam, heat and pressure. When possible, we also use disposable materials and tools to eliminate the risk of cross-contamination that can occur when these items are reused.
Our patient’s health and comfort are our top priorities. You can be confident that we have taken all the necessary steps to protect you and your family while in our care.
