Our dentist and team can examine your entire mouth with ease using an intraoral camera. Along with treatment rooms that feature wall-mounted monitors for easy viewing of enlarged images of specific areas of the mouth, this technology can help us better understand your oral health needs and treatment options.
An intraoral camera is a tool that allows us to get a closer look at different parts of your teeth, gums and mouth. It is a small, pen-shaped device that takes high-quality color photos of your teeth and gums, as well as other areas of your mouth as needed. Since the intraoral camera is so small and easily maneuverable, we can use it to see angles in your mouth that would otherwise be difficult to view with the unaided eye. We also use the intraoral camera to better evaluate your oral health and to diagnose dental problems like tooth decay, periodontal disease, tooth damage, and cracked or chipped teeth. We also use the intraoral camera during follow up appointments after a treatment has been completed.
