We Love To Help Our Patients
February reminds us of all the ways we love to help our patients achieve and maintain not only a healthy smile, but their overall health and well-being, as well. We go above and beyond to ensure patients that we have their best health interests at heart. How do we do that? To start, we are one of the few IAOMT-accredited practices in the area. Let us explain what that means to you:
The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Technology (IAOMT), of which Dr. Joel Singer is a long-time accredited member, is dedicated to promoting the use of safe and effective dental materials, tools and procedures. We want our patients to have access to the latest and greatest dental advancements, and we want them to be good for you, too.
As a holistic dental practice, we recognize that the health of your teeth and gums has an impact on your overall health. The IAOMT recognizes the relationship between poor dental health, such as gum disease, and the risk of major health problems like heart disease and stroke. The more we know about the correlation between dental and overall health, the better we can recognize and treat dental issues before they develop into bigger problems.
The IAOMT also helps dentists like us use the least toxic materials and safest methods when treating patients. The IAOMT conducts research and sets standards that helps us better treat patients with this in mind. For example, we utilize mercury-safe procedures based on the rigorous recommendations of the IAOMT. Dr. Joel Singer obtained his certification in the safe removal of mercury fillings and continues learning about this topic to ensure he is providing patients with the safest and best treatments possible.
We value our patients’ health, and continue educating and training on these holistic methods of dentistry to keep you in the best shape possible. Please let us know if you have questions, we are happy to help!
