Has It Been A While?
Although we recently started a new year, for many of us we are just getting into planning and scheduling appointments for 2022. Speaking of appointments, when was your last visit to our office? We know that life gets busy and obligations with work, family and social commitments always seem to pop up, not to mention lingering illnesses that continue to circulate. We want you to think about your overall oral health and consider scheduling an appointment for your routine hygiene examination, especially if it has been longer than six months since we have seen you. Delaying your dental exam can lead to discomfort, dental decay, as well as other conditions. If you have been delaying dental care due to lack of insurance or overall cost, we have a solution for you. Read on for more details.
Is It Time For a Visit?
When was the last time you visited our office for a hygiene examination and cleaning? We recommend most of our patients receive an examination every six months, while certain patients, such as those who experience gum disease, should visit much sooner. During these visits, we not only thoroughly clean the teeth and inspect for tooth decay, but we also check the state of prior treatments and look for signs of gum disease and oral cancer. When these visits are postponed, it can increase the need for additional treatments and added expenses.
